The event is to be a fun practice event. Hopefully both hunters and foxes can each learn something.

On Sunday morning, 15th March 2026, several members and friends of The St George Amateur Radio Society (SGARS) took part in a traditional "fox hunt" activity, otherwise known as Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF). The operators consisted of experience fox hunters who brought along their own equipment and many newcomers who borrowed a fox receiver from SGARS. Three fox transmitters were deployed around the Carss Park reserve, which were successfully found by the hunters. Consensus was the activity was a success.
