The UNSW BLUEsat’s Satellite team is dedicated to CubeSat satellite hardware development. Following the completion of the group’s first satellite in mid-2013, the team has adopted the CubeSat platform and has begun design and development of individual subsystems. The team aims to build a 10x10x20cm3 nanosatellite for space research, capable of performing various space-related experiments.
At the SGARS March gathering Tom (VK2HOA) and Mark (VK2BLU) from the UNSW BlueSat student project team will be discussing the history of the project, past achievements, current plans and possible future directions of satellite projects and platforms.
The BLUEsat presentation will be held on Wednesday 2nd March 2016 at the SGARS meeting rooms, Donnelly Park, Kyle Parade, Connells Point (near South Hurstville), commencing at 7.30pm.
As well as the presentation, there will be disposal items and the usual free refreshments and all members and local amateurs and others interested are invited to attend.
