At the next SGARS gathering, there will be a presentation by Greg Bain VK2GSB on solar astronomy.
For those interested in HF communications, the sun controls may aspects of our hobby. the number and size of sun spots eventually determine how our radio waves propagate. It is fairly easy to observe the sun, but you need to be careful. In this presentation Greg will explain this an much more.
As well as the presentation, there will be the usual free refreshments and all members and local amateurs and others interested are invited to attend.
