Amateur Radio Standard or Advanced Qualification
Candidates should undertake self study prior to undertaking either the standard or advanced level assessment. Our education team suggest the resources provided by the Radio and Electronics School, http://www.res.net.au/
The SGARS education team do not provide theory or regulations training for the standard or advanced level qualification.
In addition, candidates will need to be familiar with related to the appropriate ACMA recognition certificate Syllabus and examination information and the current Radiocommunications (Amateur Stations) Class Licence 2023 (RCL) which can be downloaded from the ACMA website.
A practical assessment is also required for the standard or advanced level qualification, unless you have previously obtained the foundation level qualification. For candidates upgrading to advanced level, from the legacy standard (Novice) qualification level, you should consult with our accredited assessors regarding the practical assessment.
