Standard & Advanced Qualification Levels

Standard - Intermediate Level - Access to additional HF, VHF and UHF bands, 100 watts power output, analogue and digital modes, intermediate level theory assessment, regulation assessment (common for both Standard / Advanced). 

Practical operation and safety assessment (common for Foundation / Standard / Advanced qualification levels). 

Some prior technical knowledge or ability to undertake self study, is desirable.

Advanced Level - Access to amateur radio bands, 400 watts power output, analogue and digital modes, advanced level theory assessment, regulation assessment (common for both Standard / Advanced). 

Practical operation and safety assessment (common for Foundation / Standard / Advanced qualification levels). 

Prior technical knowledge or ability to undertake self study, is desirable.

Upgrade - prior recognition is given to practical operation and safety assessment, when upgrading from Foundation level qualification, as is recognition of regulation assessment (common for both Standard / Advanced).
