It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ian Paul Moggs VK2LOG, on Tuesday 26th November 2024, in hospital.
Ian joined The St George Amateur Radio Society in 2016. Whilst not a regular face at our gatherings, Ian was well known to many members, for his participation over more than 10 years in Jamboree On The Air at the Endeavour Boree Regatta. As both amateur radio operators and scout leaders, Ian and Robyn Moggs were crucial in making JOTA such a great experience for the youth members.
Ian lived a life of scouting, supporting many different parts of the scouting world. In 2017, both Ian and Robyn received Scouts Australia Meritorious Service Award. Ian will be sadly missed by so many.

The funeral for Ian will be next Tuesday 10th December 2024, commencing at 10.00 am at the South Chapel, Woronora Cemetery, Sutherland. Ian's family has asked for mourners to wear something colourful, just not black.
